We are pleased to invite you to attend a round table titled „Energy Futures and Citizen Participation“. The event will be held on tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 12 p.m. in the library of the Institute of Ethnolgy and Folklore Research in Zagreb, Šubićeva street 42.
Fossil energy and it’s intensive use have played a crucial role in the shaping of modern social an cultural life and the environment in which we live today. Transition towards renewable energy sources and making of energy futures provide an opportunity for the establishment of new local and global power relations. At the event, we will discuss the complexity of the energy transition that transcends technological aspects and the necessity of thinking about these processes in the conext of social changes, urban futures, energy poverty and insistance on energy justice.
