Public Space Research Network held a meeting on December 1, 2022, upon invitation and suggestion of prof. dr. Setha Low. Research, scientific, expert, applied and activist projects dealing with public spaces in cities on all continents (SAD, UK, Netherlands, Canada, Lebanon, Russia, Spain, Germany, Austria, Croatia and Slovenia) were presented within the meeting. The experts who participated were urban anthropologists, architects, urban planners, landscape architects and sociologists. Valentina Gulin Zrnić and Saša Poljak Istenič presented current research on public spaces in Croatian and Slovenian cities, as well as approaches and methodology applied within the Urban Futures project. The aim of the event was to present, introduce and connect researchers and projects in further work. A common database of projects and contacts was created after the event and Valentina Gulin Zrnić received an invitation to co-organize a panel at the AAA conference in Toronto in November 2023, together with Setha Low and Susane Scheld.
