“BUILDING THE CITIES OF THE FUTURE TOGETHER” // “LATERAL THINKING” METHOD (“COSTRUIAMO INSIEME LE CITTÀ DEL FUTURO” // METODO “LATERAL THINKING”)

Date: Saturday, October 14, 2023, 10 am – 1 pm

Venue: AULA 202 – UNIVERSITY OF TRIESTE, GORIZIA CAMPUS VIA D’ALVIANO 18, GORIZIA, GORIZIA

How and how much do we think about the future – our own future and the future of the city where we live, study, or work? What will daily life be like in our cities in ten or a hundred years? How will we use public space? In what way can we participate in shaping the future of our city? We will address these questions through the lateral thinking method developed by Edward de Bono, aiming to find new, creative, and unconventional solutions for a broad and visionary imagination of urban futures. The workshop aims to encourage reflection on our cities as places of collective life and take a step towards better understanding the future.
