Academician Jasna Čapo has been researching migration and the transnational processes shaping the lives of Croatian emigrants, many of whom have since returned to Croatia, for almost a quarter of a century. Some of her recent research is closely connected to the themes of the project What Kind of Cities Do We Want?, as it examines return migrants and the intangible capital they bring, through which they contribute to changing social practices and fostering the development of local communities, whether in smaller towns or larger urban centres. Among other topics, these issues were discussed in the Cronnect podcast hosted by Ankica Mamić (June 2026).
